About the MacGregor 36 Main
Roger Macgregor designed this 35.50-foot catamaran for his own company, which built about 300 examples between 1977 and 1983 alongside the far more common trailerable MacGregor 26 monohull. Its twin centerboards and genuine multihull performance made it a rare offshoot within the MacGregor lineup, and that rarity is part of what makes a surviving hull worth a serious refit. Interior volume and sailing character set it apart from anything else the brand produced.
