About the MacGregor 36 Intermediate
This catamaran carries the MacGregor 36 name but has little in common with the trailerable MacGregor 26 monohull that made the California builder famous, sharing only Roger Macgregor's design pedigree. Built from 1977 to 1983 with twin centerboards, about 300 were produced, a small enough number that finding a well-documented example takes some searching. Its actual length overall of 35.50 feet and multihull layout give it real offshore capability worth preserving with a careful refit.
