Angelo Lavranos designed the St Francis 50, a performance cruising catamaran from St Francis Marine introduced in 2006 as the biggest boat in the classic St Francis range before the newer 460 arrived. Hand-laid fiberglass construction backs up the yard's reputation for boats that handle heavy ocean passages, and roughly 20 to 55 were built. That solid build quality is a strong argument for taking one on as a refit project.
