About the St Francis 48
Designed by Angelo Lavranos and first built in 2001, the St Francis 48 is a larger sibling to St Francis Marine's 43/44 line, built in St Francis Bay, South Africa. Its added interior volume and payload capacity over the earlier models came without sacrificing the yard's reputation for strong, offshore-oriented construction. An estimated 40 to 100 exist today, and that same rugged build is what makes an older example a sound candidate for a full refit.
