About the Privilege 482
Between 1992 and 1996, Jeantot Marine in France built the Privilege 482 to a design by Guy Ribadeau Dumas, giving it a high-clearance bridgedeck and heavy offshore composite construction. It replaced the earlier Privilege 48 and was built mainly for charter service, so many hulls saw hard use before moving to private hands. That charter-trade history, combined with sturdy original construction, is exactly why these boats are strong refit candidates today.
