About the Outremer 55 V2
This is the V2 generation of the Outremer 55, a French-built performance catamaran distinct from the Danson-designed original that ran from 2008 to 2010. VPLP Design penned the update for owners who want faster, more efficient passages than a typical production cruising catamaran offers. Outremer eventually moved the 55 platform forward into the 5X and 55L, but this generation's lightweight build keeps it a capable boat to maintain and sail hard today.
