About the Lagoon 42 TPI
This is the original Lagoon 42, built not in France but under license by Tillotson-Pearson Industries of Rhode Island for the American market in the early 1990s. About 51 hulls were completed between 1990 and 1994, offering domestic buyers and charter operators the same easy motion and roomy bridgedeck that made Lagoon's cruising cats popular. Owners maintaining one today are keeping a scarce, US-built chapter of Lagoon history on the water, distinct from the later French VPLP-designed 42.
