About the Catana 531
This French-built catamaran updated the earlier Catana 53 between 2003 and 2012, keeping the marque's daggerboards and vacuum-infused composite build that cuts draft and improves pointing versus fixed-keel cats. Owners maintaining a 531 are looking after a hull designed for genuine offshore passagemaking, not just weekend cruising, thanks to its raised helm and bridgedeck clearance.
