About the Admiral 38
This 1998-launched catamaran was designed by South African naval architect Angelo Lavranos and built by Admiral Yachts, and also produced by Celtic Yachts, giving it a twin-keel hull suited to offshore cruising rather than daggerboards to maintain. Later-production boats were upgraded with twin 30 hp saildrives and 380-liter fuel tanks, so owners comparing an earlier hull to a newer one should expect different mechanical specifications.
