About the Moorings 4500
The original-era Leopard 45 succeeded the earlier Leopard 44, built by Robertson & Caine in South Africa to a Simonis-Voogd design between 2004 and 2010 in a run of an estimated 100 to 180 boats. Sold under the Moorings 4500 charter name, it swapped in several identical ensuite cabins instead of a larger owner's suite. That wide, stable hull and generous cabin volume are exactly why so many of these boats remain fixtures of charter fleets and worthwhile refit projects today.
