About the Maine Cat 41
Maine Cat built the 41 in Bremen, Maine to founder Dick Vermeulen's design, keeping accommodations inside the hulls so the bridgedeck stays open as one big cockpit and helm space. That simple, lightweight construction is part of why so many of these catamarans remain in active use and are straightforward to keep up. As the largest boat in the current Maine Cat lineup, with twin daggerboards and a shoal-draft hull first launched in 2004, it is a catamaran worth the effort of a careful refit.
