About the Catana 53
The Catana 53 has been in production since 2013, designed in-house by the yard's own Bureau d'études rather than an outside naval architect. Like every Catana, it trades a fixed keel for daggerboards and lightweight composite construction, which cuts draft and sharpens upwind performance compared with heavier cruising cats. This newer 53 is a distinct generation from the earlier classic-era model of the same name, so owners should confirm which version they're maintaining.
